Home Some Famous Romantic Love Stories

By Casandra Newton

There are so many stories about people who loved each other so much no matter what. They are romantic love stories with attention grabbing plots that would definitely thrill you. Every line is full of surprises and for those susceptible enough, they would make you cry. Almost like in a fairy tale.

All romantic yarns must start from somewhere. They all begin by how the man and the woman meet. More times than not, the two fall for each other at first sight. Just one look and all the cogs are set in motion to turn the wheels of the most captivating acts of man. For instance, William Shakespeare wrote one of the greatest stories about Romeo and Juliet and how they fell in love the moment they set eyes on each other, from there nothing but death could part the legendary affectionate couple.

Romance stories are never enough without breathtaking deeds between the two lovers. Orpheus sang so many songs for his Eurydice sake that he made the gods weep with sorrow for his loss. They even ended up helping his grieving soul by showing him a way of getting his lover back. As advised by the gods, Orpheus was even willing to travel to the underworld for his better half, and he did. All for the affection he had for Eurydice.

Almost every passion story has an antagonistic aspect to it. It is not always butterflies and rainbows when it comes to matters of affection. With Romeo and Juliet, the feuds between their two families made it almost impossible for their affair to flourish. For Orpheus, a god was after his woman too. The god who was after Eurydice was responsible for her death. Lancelot had a hard time with the wrath from King Arthur after he discovered the two had an affair. Nevertheless, deep affection in the end conquers all.

To make romantic stories more interesting, there has to be a twist in the plot. In some sad situations, almost in all great stories, one of the two lovers dies due to one reason or the other. In some even more sad scenarios, the second lover dies as well, mostly due to great grief for their loss or suicide as a sacrifice for their love. Such twists in the tale make it full of suspense and intrigue.

Such tales of passion show how powerful love is and how it can rise above anything that might come against it. John Smith and Pocahontas proved that difference in race could not keep lovers apart. Neither can war, as demonstrated by Penelope who just would not falter while waiting for Odysseus to return from war after twenty years.

These stories teach other couples about faithfulness to the one you love, Just like Odysseus and Penelope. They also teach of passion like that between Lancelot and Guinevere. Most importantly, they teach us that love is worth sacrificing a lot for.

You could learn a lot more from such romantic love stories. This may call for you to hold dearly what you learn. In no time at all, you might find yourself love blown away and bleeding out passion for a certain someone.
